  • For “out of school youth” Age 18-24
  • Participants will earn $9.70/hr for up to 200 hours of job training
  • Shifts will be 6:30am – 10:30am and 11am – 3pm

Production Laborer

Overview

Paid work experience as a production laborer  - responsible for the preparation, packaging, and shipping of parts. We are looking for someone who has experience in working in a body shop, preferably in the paint department. This opportunity can potentially lead to full time employment.

Tasks

  • Prepare surfaces to be coated using various methods to remove grease, dirt, and rust
  • Apply abrasives and use hand and power tools in preparing parts for final coating
  • Inspect parts for adherence to shop standards for preparation
  • Follow all job related safety and health procedures
  • Perform other job related duties as directed by supervisor
  • Assist in the packaging and shipment of completed parts to customer specifications

Requirements

  • No Driver’s license required but must find daily transportation
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required (Employee will attend safety school)
  • Good work ethic
