Working Plant Foreman. Full time for a business in the Utica/Rome, NY area.

Summary of Position Duties:

Insure that systems are in place so production, delivery, maintenance and customer service can be effective with every load of product being made and delivered correctly.

Follow Company Safety Policies, Practices and Procedures. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise Receiving and Production Personnel.

Ability to operate all Plant Production Systems as needed.

Work with Maintenance to keep Plant Operating as efficiently as possible.

Coordinate production practices in an efficient manner and generate monthly reports on efficiency and share with Plant Manager.

*Follow all Current GMPs

*Maintain Safe Food procedures and certification.

*Work to keep Company FSMA compliant.

*Insure a steady flow of bulk and bag ingredients and supplies are coming to the plant.

*Coordinate micro-ingredient inventories to purchase from the lowest cost supplier.

*Test and summarize quality control data and share with Plant Manager and G. M.

*Have trucks loaded for first load deliveries. Provide help for drivers as needed. 

*Manage employees to be effective on the job and able to grow professionally.

*Clarify roles and goals with Plant Manager.

*Take care of the customer.

*Responsible for any other task assigned by Plant Manager.

Qualifications:

*3+ years supervisory experience.

*Completion of Kansas State Milling School mini-course is required within 1 year of employment to be provided by employer.   *Commitment to continuous learning.

*Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel as there is need to analyze and interpret technical procedures.

*High level of detail, multi-tasking, and problem solving.

*Positive, self-motivated individual with organization, communication, and negotiation skills.

*Strong customer service commitment.

*College degree in Ag or Engineering is a plus.

Compensation:

Base Salary - TBD and commensurate with skill and experience levels.
