B2B Inserter Operator.

Full time for Cathedral Corporation in Rome, NY.

SUMMARY

Operating inserting machinery ensuring Cathedral Corporation provides quality services by completing all work orders on schedule and accurately while following all standard operating procedures along with managing employees to unsure SOPs are followed and quality standards are obtained.

HOURS: 2 positions on second shift 3:30 pm to midnight.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Operate machinery according to instructions and in a safe manner while managing employees.
  • Maintain a clean and neat work area.
  • For Each Commercial Work-Order:
    • Gather trays and/or sleeves and insure there are enough empty mail cages prior to starting job.
    • Change postage meter cartridge when necessary.
    • Check counts a least twice per tray.
    • Fan for defects, insuring the following:
      • Correct date
      • Proper sealing
      • Bar codes appears through all window envelopes
      • Correct postage rate.
      • No blanks or missing postage mark.
  • Stop machine if there are any problems.
  • Make sure cages are marked if needed.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Addressing Machine Operators.

Full time positions available on 1st and 2nd shift for Cathedral Corporation in Rome, NY.

SUMMARY

Call up job files on computer to address through the machines, feeds product into machine feeders. Ensures product is coming out correctly compared to work order. Clears paper jams.

HOURS

4 positions on second shift 3:30 pm to midnight.

4 positions on first shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Reads work order to ensure that product is correct for what customer is ordering.
  • Get envelopes for hoppers. Case of envelopes weighs 32 pounds.
  • Fills hoppers with proper color envelopes or material as per the work order.
  • Gives samples to supervisor to be checked. All samples must be correct and good quality before showing to supervisor. Scans jobs in job tracking when starting and ending a job.
  • Writes notes in regards to all production work orders. This may include problems, concerns or short jobs.
  • Calls up collating files and addressing files on computer system for running them.
  • Checks on samples throughout the run to ensure product is correct.
  • Keep hoppers filled with envelopes.
  • Keeps machine clean of garbage and ensures it is safe.

  • The work environment is dusty and loud at times and the employee will be working around moving parts.
  • The employee must be aware of these situations at all times and take all proper safety precautions around the machines.
