Data Processing Supervisor for Our Orgill, Inc. Distribution Center in Rome, NY!

Orgill, Inc. is seeking an exceptional DATA PROCESSING SUPERVISOR to join our team at our *NEW* distribution center in Rome, NY. What You Will Do:

This Supervisor role is responsible for overseeing the Data Processing operations, technology and support to the Operation. The role will provide daily supervision of hourly employees ensuring that both customer service and internal measurements are held to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote superior customer service throughout the distribution center.
  • Ensure departmental performance effectively meets customer demands and corporate goals.
  • Measure and monitor department quality and production levels.
  • Train and coach employees to achieve quality and production standards.
  • Communicate all service and operational deficiencies to Department Manager.
  • Ensure staffing levels are maintained to provide superior customer service with minimal overtime and non-productive time.
  • Promote teamwork and superior levels of achievement throughout the distribution center.
  • Minimize employee turnover, retain good employees.
  • Achieve acceptable levels on employee opinion surveys.
  • Develop individual team members through coaching and correcting.
  • Uphold, support and maintain company safety standards.
  • Ensure that all equipment in the department is maintained in good working order through proper use and preventive maintenance.
  • Accomplish productivity goals through efficient, effective use of staff.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards that promote employee health and safety while reducing damage to inventory.
  • Allocate time efficiently, handle multiple tasks and complete priorities.
  • Assist in developing plans to improve processes and reduce costs.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with other departments.
  • Show commitment to the sense of urgency that drives our daily business.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

  • Experience with Information Systems preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in the computer science or related field preferred.
  • Proficiently use computers, Gmail, and Microsoft Applications.
  • Ability to lead others in fast-paced, high-quality work environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Articulate with good oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Ability to multi-task with ease.

Information Systems Specialist for Our Orgill, Inc. Distribution Center in Rome, NY!  Orgill, Inc. is seeking a Information Systems Specialist to join our team at our *NEW* distribution center in Rome, NY. We exist to serve our customers and continue to provide an outstanding customer experience!

What You Will Do: Monitoring Mainframe computer operations and responsible for the printing and delivery of all reports, pick labels, price stickers, and invoices. Maintain PC’s, copiers and printer, along with the computer systems for the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Print and deliver all paperwork & labels to appropriate departments.
  • Maintain all IT Equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot Network and Communication issues.
  • Assist with PC, Telephone, and Security software and hardware issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all computer supplies.
  • Excellent attendance and reliable predictability a must.
  • Adheres to DC housekeeping guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

  • High School diploma preferred.
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety policies and practices
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime and/or rotating shifts when needed.
  • Excellent PC and Network knowledge.
  • Good math and reading skills.
  • Track and install software.
  • Ability to multi-tack on various job components independently.
  • Telephone/Media communications skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management.
  • Attention to detail essential and demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlines.
  • Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must have the ability to meet physical assessment requirements for this position.
