AIS is looking for a Benefits and Compensation Specialist to oversee and administer the employees benefits and compensation programs. Incumbent will be responsible for aligning our benefit and compensation programs with AIS’s philosophy as well as assisting with the development of programs that will increase employee performance, engagement and retention. The candidate will also have responsibility with the ongoing assessment our programs to ensure they contribute to attracting, retaining and motivating superior talent, aligning performance with AIS values while enhancing our company’s profile as a best place to work.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Administer employee benefits programs such as retirement plans; medical, dental, vision plans; life insurance plans; STD and LTD plans; and wellness programs including assisting with design, implementation, change management, all enrollment processes; new, change in status and open enrollment. Serve as Benefit Plan administrator as assigned.
Evaluate and compare existing company benefits with those of other employers by analyzing other plans, surveys and other sources of information. Plan, develop and/or participate in area and industry surveys. Analyze results of surveys and develop specific recommendations for review by management.
Work with Brokers to prepare RFP and renewals. Evaluates quotation and make recommendations
Implement new plans or changes to existing plans by preparing announcement materials, plan summary documents and other media for communicating plans to employees. Conduct employee meetings and arrange for enrollment. Advise and counsel HR team, managers and employees on existing benefits.
Prepare and execute, with legal consultation, benefits documentation, such as original and amended plan documents, SPD’s, benefit agreements and insurance policies. Instruct insurance carriers, trustees and other administrative agencies outside the company to effect changes in benefits program. Ensure prompt and accurate compliance.
Manage all statutory compliance requirements and annual reporting requirement
Support the AIS compensation philosophy in line with our work culture and organizational objectives by following our processes to monitor and update our salary program.
Work with CHRO and HRBP’s to develop compensation levels for all positions utilizing salary survey data to ensure internal and external equity
Work with HRBP’s and recruiting on development of new job evaluations, descriptions and FLSA classifications as well as maintaining and updating JD’s as required.
Work with CHRO and HRBP’s to new offers and salary changes to ensure internal equity and regulatory compliance
Participate in compensation surveys to analyze AIS’ competitive position
Conduct periodic reviews and audits of job descriptions and job titles
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience within Human Resources or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 3 years’ working experience within the employee benefits and/or compensation functions of a human resources department
Working knowledge of HRIS and benefit portal systems
Working knowledge of FLSA, ERISA, ACA and related federal and state regulations
