Job Corps Scholars is now available for low income young people ages 17-24 in Utica and beyond. As long as they are US citizens or permanent residents, participants may come from any community in the Mohawk Valley, across NY state, or out of state to enroll in MVCC’s Job Corps Scholars program in Mechatronics, Welding, CNC machinist, Carpentry & Masonry, and HVAC. The Department of Labor funding pays for student tuition, fees, books and supplies, academic and career counseling support, as well as some meal and transportation costs.
