Mohawk Valley Community College has been selected as one of the recipient of a USDOL Job Corps Scholars Program.  They have been awarded grant funds to help young adults between the ages of 17-24, from disadvantaged backgrounds, to complete a one year technical certification program at our community college.

They can help them with a one year Certificate in Mechatronics, Welding or Carpentry/Masonry, HVAC, and CNC Mechanic.

Classes begin Feb, 2, 2021!

The Job Corps Scholars Program addresses the financial barriers associated with attending a two-year or four-year college because the grant will cover student tuition and fees, as well as other costs that will hinder the students from successfully completing the program.  This program will also deliver personal and employment counseling that will prepare youths for having a meaningful career especially in the technical manufacturing industry.
