JOB FAIRS AND RECRUITMENTS

• 2/27/24- Madison County Working Solutions, Canastota Public Schools and the Canastota Public Library are hosting an in-person Job Fair from 10 am to 12 pm at the Canastota Public Library, 102 W Center St, Canastota, NY 13032.  Hope to see you there!
• 2/27/24-The Workforce Development Board’s RADAR Grant is hosting a Free 7 County Virtual Job Fair from 11 am to 1 pm.  Register today at https://pvapi.premiervirtual.com/s/8wpYld 
• 3/1/24- Oneida County Employment Readiness Job Fair 9 am to 12 pm at the Oneida County Office Building, 800 Park Avenue Utica NY 13501-Open to the public-All are welcome. 
• 3/4/24- Carpenter’s Local #277 is hiring both apprentice and journeyman carpenters. With lots of big construction projects coming up in the local area, this is a great opportunity to earn good money while you learn skills that will last a lifetime. Don’t miss the Apprenticeship Information Session Monday, March 4, 2024, at 6 pm in the first- floor conference room at the State Office Building, 207 Genesee Street. TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

• Herkimer BOCES will be hosting English as a Second Language classes at The Frank J. Basloe Public Library every Monday and Wednesday, 3:30-5:30pm. They will also be hosting classes Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30-5:30 at the Herkimer BOCES Remington Complex in the Adult Literacy Office. Classes are free and no appointment is necessary to attend, individuals do not have to attend every class in order to participate. • Free Computer Training at Herkimer Working Solutions from Northstar Digital Literacy has been extended. These courses are perfect for people with very basic computer skills, struggling to job search in the digital age, or looking to learn more about Microsoft/Google programs! No appointment necessary! Learn Basic Computer Skills , Internet Basics,  Career Search Skills, Microsoft Word and Excel and more. Join Us at Herkimer Working Solutions for an Information Session! When?
