Giotto Enterprises has an urgent need to fill CNC Machinist positions at their Herkimer County affiliate company, Fermer Precision, that is located in Ilion.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Machine (CNC) Operator- Fermer Precision

Position involves the safe machining of components used in the pump, compressor, automotive and firearms industries per company established output rate. Operators will utilize various types of equipment, be required to ensure part quality, and perform quality checks as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate and set-up machine tool equipment.
• Adhere to company and customer specifications, work instructions and work orders.
• Monitor work to ensure machine is functioning properly.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area.

Qualifications:
• Dependable and strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow directions and attention to detail.
• Verbal and written understanding of English.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a team environment to meet daily production goals.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, and lift for duration of shift.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 30lbs.
• Manual dexterity.

Job Type: Full-time positions available for all shifts
1st shift: 7:00 am- 3:30 pm
2nd shift: 3:30 pm- 12:00 am
3rd shift: 10:30 pm- 7:00 am

Salary: from $14.20 per hour
IMPORTANT: Wage rate will be commensurate with position, shift worked, experience, education, and required skills.
