JOB FAIRS AND RECRUITMENTS

• 7/22/25 – Central NY/Mohawk Valley Regional Virtual Career Fair 11:00AM – 2:00PM. 
• 7/23/25 – Mohawk Valley Community Action Agency will be at the State Office Building, 207 Genesee St. in Utica from 1:00PM – 3:00PM. They will be recruiting for Teachers, Assistant Teachers, Home Base Visitors, Family Specialists, Program Assistants, Resource Specialists, and Classroom Aides! 
• 7/29/25 – Public workshop to navigate state jobs! The Demystifying the Civil Service Merit System & NY HELPS workshop starts at 1:00PM and is located at the Herkimer County Working Solutions, 320 North Prospect Street, Herkimer, NY. Save the date!

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

• MV Tech Corps Training at MVCC. Get started on a career path in Mechatronics, Welding, Carpentry, Masonry, CNC Machining or HVAC. Earn a tech or trades certificate from MVCC in just eight months. MV Tech Corps provides gap funding for resident tuition and fees, and covers the expense of required materials expenses to eligible candidates. Contact Rachel Maiolo at to find out more. • Struggling to job search in the digital age? Herkimer Working Solutions is hosting free computer training and certification classes from Northstar Digital Literacy. Learn basic computer skills, internet basics, career search skills, Microsoft Word and Excel and more. They have sessions every 1st and 3rd Wednesday and Thursday of the month starting at 2:00PM.
