Responsibilities:
Career Pathway Programming
• Work with the Partners for Education and Business team to support programming in coordination with school partners to provide students with career exploration and preparation.
• Serve on P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) Steering Committees as required.
• Collaborate with school partners to establish work-based learning calendars and coordinate employer participation in programming.
• Maintain accurate program documentation for reporting purposes.
• Participate in the planning and hosting of MACNY-wide events such as Manufacturing Month and the Annual Workforce Development Awards.
Registered Apprenticeship
• Work with Director of Apprenticeship and Workforce Development on multiple projects promoting statewide Registered Apprenticeship initiatives.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on MACNY services and program offerings to businesses, educators, and community partners.
• Conduct company training for new apprenticeship programs, including documentation and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a liaison with the Department of Labor (DOL) with MACNY’s Group Sponsored Apprenticeship program and maintain records and databases to ensure compliance to regulatory standards.
• Help identify, coordinate and source appropriate on the job learning and related technical instruction.
• Conduct targeted outreach and recruitment to underrepresented populations including youth, to engage in pre-apprenticeship and Registered Apprenticeship opportunities.
• Perform work as a team member on multiple programs and grant initiatives. Including, but not limited to, data collection and providing grant program activity reports as required.
Workforce Development
• Build and maintain relationships with businesses, educators, and community partners to promote the benefits of MACNY’s workforce development initiatives and MACNY’s Membership offerings.
• Work with businesses to identify and solve skill gaps utilizing MACNY based solutions.
• Participate in training programs that are necessary to support the dynamic nature of our work.
• Author newsletter and magazine content as requested.
• Attend MACNY and Partners for Education & Business (PEB) events as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong interest in career pathway development, including programs for registered apprenticeship, post-secondary education including, university, community college and vocational/technical institutions.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to build new relationships with a wide range of individuals.
• Experience with digital platforms, virtual events, social media, and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems, a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm. Must have flexibility in availability to support occasional activities outside of regular business hours. Flexible remote schedule.
• Salary plus full benefit package including health, dental, life and disability plans, employer contribution to 401k and more.
• Includes travel within New York State. Must have a valid driver's license.

Salary: 55-60K
