• NYS Department of Corrections and Community Services will be hosting 3 upcoming recruitments at the Herkimer Career Center, 320 N Prospect St., Herkimer on 3/4, 3/24, and 4/15, all events running from 10:00AM–12:00PM. Anyone interested about learning more about the Corrections positions are encouraged to attend one of the recruitment sessions.
• New York State Park Police – The Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation is now accepting applications for State Park Police Officers across New York State. Selected candidates will attend the training academy in the Albany area (if invited) and, upon graduation, be assigned to a region anywhere in New York State. Applications and documentation are due by February 28, 2026! Am I Eligible? Candidates must be at least 20 years of age at the time of hire. Must not have passed your 43rd birthday by October 1, 2026. Military service (up to 6 years) may be deducted from age, if applicable.
