Part-Time - Hiring Immediately!

Job Description: The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist will work Per Diem, Various Shift & Weekend and will acquire CT images and evaluates exams for technical quality and perform CT examinations as requested and in accordance to established guidelines.

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist transports patients to and from the room when required as designated by the Manager.

Prepares and dispenses oral contrasts as indicated per protocol.

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist assists in the positioning of patients during CT examination.

Sets up sterile trays as indicated.

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist explains scans and procedures to the patients to set aside fears; properly performs all studies and records all data into the appropriate logbooks.

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist maintains adequate inventory of supplies within Diagnostic as well as the CT scanner.

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist cleans and organizes x-ray rooms and CT room after patient use.

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist checks instrument calibrations daily; performing quality control procedures daily on equipment and conducts ongoing equipment maintenance and room checks.

Maintain accurate patient records for all procedures performed, maintaining patient confidentiality, and adhering to all HIPAA standards.

Participate in department on-call rotation as policy states.

Perform similar or related duties as requested or directed.

Qualifications

Bassett Healthcare Network follows the New York State and New York State Department of Health COVID-19 vaccine mandates for healthcare workers. This mandate requires COVID-19 vaccinations for personnel working for or on behalf of our hospitals and nursing homes. The New York State mandate allows for medical exemptions and religious accommodations, when appropriate. All candidates who accept an offer from Bassett Healthcare Network will be required to show proof of vaccination as required by New York State.

Education:

Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology, required.

Experience:

Previous radiographer/CT experience, required.

Previous experience with P.A.C.'s and R.I.S., preferred.

Licensure/Certificates:

Current NYS licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, required.

American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT/ARRT CT) certification, required within one year of hire.

BLS, required within 30 days of hire.
