J. Newman Painting LLC is seeking Experienced Painters to join our growing team in Oneida, N.Y. We are known for delivering high-quality residential and commercial painting services throughout Central New York. We offer a per diem for travel. The employee would travel from their home location to various job sites. 50% of our work is in Skaneateles. Other sites are in the Fayetteville area, with a few other locations in the approximate area.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare surfaces for painting (scraping, sanding, priming, caulking)

- Apply paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or sprayers

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Protect surrounding areas (furniture, floors, fixtures) during painting

- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures

- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

- Handle minor drywall repairs and surface touch-ups as needed

Minimum requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in painting or construction

- Valid New York State driver's license required

- Ability to commute daily, worksites can vary from Syracuse to Skaneateles

- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Physically able to stand, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
