• NYS DOCCS is now hiring experienced officers! Continue your career with advanced placement offers, great benefits, and possibilities for additional compensation. For more information contact . 
• 11/6/24 – DFAS Rome Resume Building Class. 5:00PM – 7:00PM at Rome Alliance Church located at 920 Turin St, Rome, NY 13440. Register by 11/4/2024.
• Time is running out to sign up for Advance 2 Apprenticeship at MVCC. They are enrolling for their Fall Session now. You’ll receive training to develop in-demand skills to jumpstart your career in Manufacturing. There is no cost to students. It runs October 15 – December 12. 
• Real Life Rosies Bootcamp- A great opportunity for women! Prepare for a career or Registered Apprenticeship in Advanced Manufacturing. There is no cost to participate. Transportation and childcare are available. $1000 stipend upon completion of the program. The next training runs October 15 – December 12, 2024. 
• 11/18/24 – Join the Workforce Development Board of Herkimer, Madison, and Oneida Counties in kicking off National Apprenticeship Week! The event runs from 10:00AM – 12:00PM at the MVCC Utica campus located at 1101 Sherman Drive, ACC 116. Discover exciting career opportunities in the Trades and Advanced Manufacturing fields. All businesses and job seekers in the following counties are invited to register: Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Chenango, Delaware, and Otsego counties.

The job fair will take place Tuesday, September 10th, from 11am to 1pm.

There will also be staff available from our training grant programs to talk to job seekers about how our free grant programs can help job seekers get started in a satisfying and good paying career.
