TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

• MV Tech Corps Training at MVCC. Get started on a career path in Mechatronics, Welding, Carpentry, Masonry, CNC Machining or HVAC. Earn a tech or trades certificate from MVCC in just eight months. MV Tech Corps provides gap funding for resident tuition and fees, and covers the expense of required materials expenses to eligible candidates. Contact Rachel Maiolo at to find out more. Now taking registrations for the Fall semester.
• Struggling to job search in the digital age? Herkimer Working Solutions is hosting free computer training and certification classes from Northstar Digital Literacy. Learn basic computer skills, internet basics, career search skills, Microsoft Word and Excel and more. They have sessions every 1st and 3rd Wednesday and Thursday of the month starting at 2:00PM. Space is limited – call (315) 867-1400 to register. 
• Time is running out to sign up for Advance 2 Apprenticeship at MVCC. They are enrolling for their Fall Session now. You’ll receive training to develop in-demand skills to jumpstart your career in Manufacturing. There is no cost to students. It runs September 16 – December 11. Scan the QR code at link to register!
• Real Life Rosies Bootcamp – A great opportunity for women! Prepare for a career or Registered Apprenticeship in Modern Manufacturing. There is no cost to participate. Transportation and childcare are available. The next training runs September 15-December 10, 2025. The program is offered by MACNY, The Manufacturers Association, Mohawk Valley Community College, Working Solutions, and NYS Empire State Development.

Mohawk Valley Build – MV Build is a paid 15-week training program for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the skilled trades.paid 15-week training program for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the skilled trades.

The program runs from September 8 to December 22. It is held on Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday from 5:00PM – 8:30PM.

MV Build provides classroom and hands-on experience, a nationally recognized credential, and an opportunity to enter into a union apprenticeship upon completion of the program.
