This plan outlines our strategy for strengthening workforce development in our community, aligning services, partnerships, and resources to meet local needs.

• 11/20/25 – In-person Mini Job Fair from 1:00PM – 3:00PM at the Utica Career Center in the State Office Building, 207 Genesee Street, 2nd floor, Utica, NY 13501.
• 12/4/25 – One Day Hiring Event at the Rome Alliance Church, 920 Turin St. Rome, NY, from 11:00AM – 1:00PM. Visit www.romejobfairs.org for more information. 
• 12/8/25 – NYS OPWDD Walk-In Interviews from 1:00PM – 3:00PM at the Madison County Working Solutions located at 133 N Court Street, Wampsville, NY 13163. Save the date!
• 12/11/25 – In-person Mini Job Fair from 1:00PM – 3:00PM at the Madison County Working Solutions located at 133 N Court Street, Wampsville, NY 13163. Save the date!
• 12/17/25 – Public workshop to navigate state jobs! The Demystifying the Civil Service Merit System & NY HELPS workshop starts at 1:30PM and is located at the Utica Public Library, 303 Genesee Street, Utica, NY. 
• USPS – Virtual Job Fairs every Thursday from 11:00AM – 1:00PM. 

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

• Herkimer Working Solutions is hosting free computer training classes! Learn basic computer skills, internet basics, career search skills, Microsoft Word and Excel and more. They have sessions every 1st and 3rd Wednesday and Thursday of the month starting at 2:00PM. Space is limited – call (315) 867-1400 to register.
